RILEY PHIPPS
he/him · operations manager
-
First captivated by music from the 45s on his grandmother's jukebox, Riley was lured to Fort Collins in 1999 where the culture and burgeoning music scene resonated with his passion for all things music + community and the way those two things directly foster one another. Here, Riley spent 14 years creating and building in the medical device and biotech fields while volunteering with organizations like the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery (then Discovery Science Center), Fort Collins Bike Co-op, Diamond Peaks Ski Patrol and getting involved in the music scene.
Spending many an eve contemplating how to better leverage music's magnanimous power, he ultimately landed a gig with Bohemian helping to manifest projects like Washington's (900 cap venue), Sonic Spotlight (the all ages music showcase and competition) and the Music District, where he currently works to cultivate a more equitable, inclusive and sustainable future through music. He also sits on the board of directors for KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins and Blast n Scrap, the all ages, music meets mutual aid nonprofit. Most importantly, he is dad to two incredible daughters and partner to an amazingly gracious and caring wife.
