ILAN BLANCK
he/him · artist development associate manager
-
Ilan was born & raised outside Milwaukee, WI; the land of cheese, beer, Happy Days, and the Packers. Growing up in a Mexican-Jewish family, he ventured to college in Appleton, WI followed by four years in Minneapolis. Ilan made his way to Boulder for grad school in music composition ('sko Buffs – sorry), before landing in Fort Collins to join the Music District team.
Ilan has been lucky enough to wear a lot of music industry hats in a bunch of different styles. He’s a composer/orchestrator/arranger, working with artists from Ellie Goulding and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra to uncle’s high school show choir band. You’ll catch him slaying as a guitarist, recording/producing albums from funk to bluegrass, and touring the country opening for acts like Guster, Chris Eldridge/Kristin Andriessen, Here Come the Mummies and Charlie Parr. Ilan has also been in the educator world, teaching everywhere from Roseau, MN (look it up) to CU-Boulder.
In the industry side of things, Ilan has had the chance to manage bands in Minnesota and serve as Minneapolis super-producer Lazerbeak’s (Doja Cat, Lizzo, Dessa) assistant.
Outside of music, he loves listening to public radio, reading Soviet-era books (nerd), and hanging with his geriatric cat, Gato.
