Groove Theory is a monthly meetup and community for producers, engineers, and music creators at all levels. Participants share their latest tracks—finished songs or works-in-progress—and get constructive feedback from fellow musicians and producers.

Occasionally, experienced pro producers lead masterclasses during these sessions, offering valuable insights and techniques to elevate your DAW* production and songwriting skills. Groove Theory provides a space to trade feedback, build community, and level up. Whether you’re a DIY musician, home recording enthusiast, bedroom producer, professional studio engineer, or just interested in the art of recording and producing music, join Groove Theory on select Wednesday nights from 6-9 pm.

While all genres and production styles are welcome, Groove Theory focuses on skills related to producing and writing music in DAWs.

*DAW = Digital Audio Workstations, such as ProTools, Logic, Ableton, GarageBand, Reaper, etc.

PAST PROGRAM GUESTS include Michal Menert, Esseks, Algiers, Hudson Lee, Maria Chavez, Covex, Frequent, Keota, With Love Harlow, Encanti, and more.

GROOVE THEORY IS OPEN TO MUSIC DISTRICT MEMBERS AND THOSE ON THE WAITLIST FOR MEMBERSHIP. LEARN MORE.
