Crash Course is a weekly workshop series for Music District Members at any stage of their musical journey, focused on building real-world skills for a sustainable music career.

With rotating topics ranging from leveling up booking strategy, to improving songwriting chops, to getting business savvy, these ongoing sessions serve as a quick-and-dirty guide for navigating a career in music—while fostering connections among Members.

Workshops are drop-in style and introductory in nature; no prior knowledge or pre-reqs are required. Open to all Music District Members and those on the Membership waitlist, Crash Course is facilitated by Music District staff with expertise in the area and featured industry pros. Whether brushing up or branching out, Crash Course is all about elevating music skills, exploring new approaches, and connecting with fellow musicians.


CRASH COURSE TOPICS include Music Release & Promo Strategies, Chords & Chord Progressions, Anatomy of a Song, DAW Basics, 6-Step Guide to Booking Shows, How to Practice Effectively, Launch Your Music on Streaming Platforms, and more.
