Colorado Musicians – Starting October 29th, you can submit your music for placement on film and television with Assemble Sound.

Based in Detroit, Assemble Sound is opening their roster to Northern Colorado artists for the first time by way of a partnership with The Music District.

Assemble Sound has worked with companies such as Hulu, Samsung, Apple, the E! Network, and Netflix, leading to over one and a half million dollars in placements for artists on their roster.

Join us on October 29th for our kickoff event, where you will hear from industry members about the world of sync licensing. At the event, you’ll also have the first chance to apply to join Assemble Sound’s roster.

We’ve teamed up with Washington’s FoCo & Bohem

We’ve teamed up with Washington’s FoCo & Bohemian Nights to highlight new, emerging, and established Colorado artists. This week’s Colorado Artist Spotlight is the Heavy Metal band @khemmisdoom.

Khemmis is an American doomed heavy metal band from Denver, CO. Khemmis provides powerful and emotionally cathartic music, with lyrics and melodies expressing deeply personal but universal feelings of grief, remorse, fear, and joy in equal measure. Expect to be crushed by heavy, grooving riffs one moment, and uplifted with soaring vocals and Iron Maiden-esque guitar harmonies the next. Their 2016 sophomore album ‘Hunted’ was named one of Rolling Stone’s ’20 Best Metal Albums of 2016’ and received Decibel magazine’s ‘Album of the Year’ award. Since the band’s inception in late 2012, they have made a point of promoting Colorado and Denver’s music scene along with pointing a spotlight on local companies such as venues, printers, and artists whenever possible.
