Daniel Delaney is a multi-style cellist, improvisor, and composer.  He’s performed throughout the United States as a concerto soloist, band leader, recording artist, chamber musician, and clinician.  He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Northern Colorado and his Master of Music degree from Mannes School of Music in New York City. He has since served as cello and chamber music faculty for Csehy Summer School of Music and Cairn University School of Music. The Philadelphia Inquirer called him a “master musician” and Broadway World a “world-class cellist.”

Celebrated as a versatile arranger and studio recording artist, Daniel is credited with performances on contemporary popular projects by BeachSlang (Polyvinyl), Elvira Nikolaisen (SONY), mewithoutYou (Tooth and Nail), Twin Sister (Domino), Sun Airway (Dead Oceans), and many others.

Daniel is deeply committed to the creative thriving of his students, crafting a course of study that fits the goals and learning style of each person. Whether learning for the first time or returning to the instrument after years away, students will find cello lessons and group classes a joy and will find a world of musical possibilities open to them.
