Drop in (no appointment necessary) to the Musicians Help Desk: Open Office Hours taking place every Tuesday from 5-6pm in the Media Library at The Music District. This new series, presented by FoCoMA and The Musician’s Help Desk will feature Matthew Fritz and a rotating cast of industry professionals and artists who are here to lend a hand in offering advice and answers to your burning questions.

About Matthew Fritz:
Matthew Fritz, who now serves as the Executive Director of the Fort Collins Musicians Association comes to Fort Collins with 10+ years of music business and music management experience working with notable artists such as Ben Sollee, King Cardinal, Satsang, The Last Revel, and Yonder Mountain String Band.

In addition, music attorney Jess Gries will be joining Matthew for the first session of each month to provide answers to music-related legal questions.

Jess Gries has practiced law in Fort Collins since 2000, focusing on the representation of artists, production companies, talent agencies, festivals, record labels, and other music industry players. He specializes in contract negotiation and review, entity formation (LLC’s, Corporations, etc.), intellectual property protection and licensing, risk management and special event permitting. Jess has served on the Board of Directors of SpokesBUZZ, KRFC and other local non-profits and is currently a Director at Positive Legacy, a charitable organization that organizes service projects in conjunction with international music festivals. He is a volunteer attorney with Colorado Attorneys for the Arts and a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association.
